Our Thoughts on the Victory Twin
What we like most about the Victory Twin is the balance between stability and turning ability.
Normally, moving from a three-wheel scooter to a four-wheel scooter means accepting a significantly larger turning radius.
The Victory Twin uses two closely positioned front wheels to provide a four-wheel footprint while still achieving an approximately 42-inch turning radius.
For someone who prefers the feel of four wheels but regularly drives through stores, retirement residences, elevators or other tighter environments, we think that is a genuinely useful design.
 
Who We Think It Is Best For
We think the Victory Twin works particularly well for shopping, appointments, retirement communities, paved sidewalks and general everyday mobility.
Its 350 lb weight capacity and 18" x 17" seat give it more room and capacity than many compact travel scooters.
At the same time, the 42-inch turning radius keeps it considerably more maneuverable than many traditional four-wheel mid-size scooters.
For someone moving up from a small Go-Go but who does not want a large outdoor scooter, the Victory Twin fills a useful middle ground.
 
What We Like Most
The dual front wheels are obviously the standout feature.
You also get a delta tiller with wraparound handles, allowing the scooter to be operated from several different hand positions.
The standard seat includes sliders, eight-position rotation and viscoelastic foam inserts for added comfort.
We also like the full lighting package, including an LED headlight, turn signals and an automatic rear brake light.
These aren't flashy features, but together they make the Victory Twin a very practical everyday scooter.
 
Portability & Transportation
The Victory Twin uses Pride's feather-touch frame separation system, allowing the scooter to come apart for transportation and storage.
The heaviest separated section is approximately 55 lb.
That makes it more transportable than a large full-size scooter, but we would not put it in the same category as one of Pride's lightweight Go-Go models.
If you expect to regularly lift the scooter into a vehicle yourself, we recommend trying the lifting process before purchasing.
If portability is your absolute number-one priority, we would probably look at something lighter.
 
Range & Everyday Use
The Victory Twin uses 40Ah batteries and Pride Canada rates it for up to approximately 17.8 km of driving range per charge.
Maximum speed is approximately 9.2 km/h.
That is plenty for many shopping trips, appointments and everyday outings, although users looking for very long community trips may want to compare it with one of Pride's longer-range scooters.
Actual driving range will vary depending on user weight, terrain, hills, battery condition, temperature and driving habits.
 
Things We Would Consider Before Buying
The Victory Twin does not have suspension.
For smooth indoor floors, shopping centres and normal paved sidewalks, we think it works very well.
If you regularly travel over rough pavement or uneven outdoor terrain and ride comfort is one of your highest priorities, we would compare it with a scooter equipped with front and rear suspension.
We would also consider the 17.8 km rated range. It is more than enough for many users, but there are better choices if long-distance outdoor travel is your main goal.
 
Is the Pride Victory Twin Worth It?
We think the Victory Twin makes the most sense for someone who wants the stability of a four-wheel scooter but does not want the wide turning circle that often comes with one.
The 350 lb capacity, comfortable seating, 42-inch turning radius and useful everyday features make it a very versatile mid-size scooter.
If you want maximum range, suspension or serious outdoor capability, we would look at something larger.
If you want a stable everyday scooter that remains surprisingly maneuverable indoors, the Victory Twin is one we would absolutely recommend comparing.
