The Pride Go-Go LX is a travel mobility scooter we really like for someone who wants the portability of a Go-Go scooter but does not want to give up as much ride comfort.
The standout feature is Pride’s Comfort-Trac Suspension, with suspension at both the front and rear of the scooter.
In our opinion, that makes the Go-Go LX especially appealing for someone who regularly drives over sidewalks, thresholds and other everyday surfaces where a basic travel scooter can start to feel firm.
 
Our Thoughts on the Go-Go LX
 
What we like about the Go-Go LX is that Pride kept the scooter relatively simple and portable while adding a feature that actually makes a noticeable difference.
Many travel scooters focus almost entirely on weight and transportation. The downside is that smaller solid tires and no suspension can make them feel quite firm outdoors.
The Go-Go LX gives you front and rear suspension while still allowing the scooter to separate into five pieces for transportation.
We think that makes it a great middle ground for someone who wants a traditional travel scooter but expects to use it regularly rather than only occasionally.
 
Who We Think It Is Best For
 
We think the Go-Go LX works particularly well for shopping, appointments, malls, retirement residences, neighbourhood trips and general indoor and outdoor use.
Its 300 lb weight capacity and 17" x 17" seat make it suitable for many users looking for a compact scooter.
The four-wheel design provides a stable footprint, while the approximately 44.75-inch turning radius keeps it manageable in most everyday environments.
For extremely tight indoor spaces, there are more maneuverable scooters, but we think the Go-Go LX strikes a good balance between stability and size.
 
What We Like Most
 
The suspension is easily our favourite feature.
Pride’s Comfort-Trac system uses front and rear suspension to help soften bumps and uneven surfaces.
We also like the delta tiller with wraparound handles. It allows the scooter to be operated in different hand positions and can be useful for someone who finds a traditional straight tiller less comfortable.
The tiller-mounted charging port is another simple but useful feature, allowing you to plug the scooter in without reaching down toward the battery pack.
 
Portability & Transportation
 
The Go-Go LX uses Pride’s feather-touch disassembly system and separates into five pieces for transport and storage.
The heaviest section is approximately 37–39 lb depending on the published configuration.
That is relatively lightweight by mobility scooter standards, but we still recommend trying the lifting process before purchasing if you plan to load the scooter independently.
A scooter can be described as portable without necessarily being easy for every person to lift.
 
Things We Would Consider Before Buying
 
Even with suspension, the Go-Go LX is still a travel scooter.
The smaller solid tires and relatively low ground clearance mean we would not choose it primarily for grass, gravel or rough outdoor terrain.
The suspension improves comfort, but it does not turn the scooter into a heavy-duty outdoor model.
If most of your use will be shopping, appointments, sidewalks and paved areas, we think it makes a lot of sense.
If you expect to regularly travel over rougher terrain or much longer distances, we would probably recommend comparing it with a larger scooter.
 
Is the Pride Go-Go LX Worth It?
 
We think the Go-Go LX is a very good option for someone who likes the size and portability of a traditional Go-Go scooter but wants a smoother ride.
Its biggest advantage is simple: you get a compact scooter that still disassembles for transportation, but you also get front and rear suspension.
If minimum lifting weight is your number-one priority, there are lighter options.
If you want a portable scooter that feels a little more substantial and comfortable during everyday use, the Go-Go LX is one we would absolutely recommend comparing.
