The Pride Go-Go Sport 3-Wheel is a travel mobility scooter we like for someone who wants a more substantial Go-Go scooter while placing a high priority on maneuverability.
With a 325 lb weight capacity, 17" x 17" seat and larger rear tires, the Go-Go Sport feels more substantial than many smaller travel scooters while still being designed to come apart for transportation.
The biggest advantage of choosing the 3-wheel version is its turning ability. With an approximately 36-inch turning radius, it is considerably easier to maneuver in tighter spaces than the 4-wheel Go-Go Sport.
 
Our Thoughts on the Go-Go Sport 3-Wheel
 
In our opinion, this version makes the most sense for someone who likes the size and capacity of the Go-Go Sport but expects to spend a lot of time indoors.
The single front wheel allows the scooter to turn much tighter, which can make a noticeable difference in apartments, elevators, stores, restaurants and other environments where space is limited.
You still get the same straightforward Go-Go design, ergonomic delta tiller, LED lighting and easy disassembly that make the Sport a practical everyday scooter.
 
Who We Think It Is Best For
 
We think the Go-Go Sport 3-Wheel is particularly well suited for shopping, appointments, malls, retirement residences and general indoor use.
It can also handle paved sidewalks and smooth outdoor surfaces well.
For someone who frequently navigates tighter indoor environments, we would often consider the 3-wheel Sport before the 4-wheel model simply because of how much easier it is to turn.
The trade-off is that some users prefer the feel and wider front footprint of four wheels, particularly outdoors.
That is something we recommend experiencing in person rather than deciding purely from a specification sheet.
 
What We Like Most
 
The 36-inch turning radius is easily the biggest selling point for us.
It gives you the larger seat and 325 lb capacity of the Sport platform without making the scooter difficult to maneuver indoors.
We also like the delta tiller with wraparound handles. It allows different hand positions and can be easier to operate for someone with reduced hand strength.
The tiller-mounted charging port is another useful feature, and the batteries can be charged either on or off the scooter.
 
Portability & Transportation
 
The Go-Go Sport uses Pride’s feather-touch disassembly system and separates into five pieces for transportation and storage.
The heaviest section on the 3-wheel model weighs approximately 35.75 lb, which is noticeably lighter than the heaviest section of the 4-wheel Sport.
For someone who regularly loads their scooter into a vehicle, that difference may be important.
We still recommend trying the lifting process before purchasing. Thirty-five pounds is relatively light for a scooter component, but it may not be comfortable for everyone to lift.
 
Range & Everyday Use
 
Pride Canada rates the Go-Go Sport 3-Wheel for up to approximately 20.5 km of range per charge and speeds of up to approximately 7.5 km/h.
That is plenty for most shopping trips, appointments and everyday outings.
Actual driving range will vary depending on user weight, terrain, battery condition, temperature and driving habits.
 
3-Wheel or 4-Wheel?
 
For us, this is really the main decision.
If maneuverability and tight indoor turning are the priority, we would lean toward the 3-wheel Sport.
If you simply prefer the wider front footprint and feel of a four-wheel scooter, the 4-wheel Sport may be the better choice.
Neither is automatically better.
We recommend driving both if possible because most people can feel the difference almost immediately.
 
Things We Would Consider Before Buying
 
The Go-Go Sport does not have suspension, so we would keep expectations realistic when it comes to rough outdoor terrain.
It performs very well on indoor flooring, shopping centres and paved sidewalks, but it would not be our first recommendation for grass, gravel or badly broken pavement.
We would also consider whether the user feels comfortable on a 3-wheel scooter.
For someone who strongly prefers the feel of four wheels, the tighter turning radius may not outweigh that preference.
 
Is the Pride Go-Go Sport 3-Wheel Worth It?
 
We think the Go-Go Sport 3-Wheel is a very good choice for someone who wants a capable travel scooter with excellent maneuverability.
Its 325 lb capacity, comfortable 17" x 17" seat, 36-inch turning radius and relatively light front section make it especially attractive for users who frequently move between indoor environments and vehicle transportation.
If tight turning is important to you, this is one of the biggest reasons we would choose the 3-wheel Sport over the 4-wheel version.
