The Pride Victory 10.2 3-Wheel is a mid-size mobility scooter we like for someone who wants more comfort and capacity than a compact travel scooter while still keeping excellent maneuverability.
With a 400 lb weight capacity, an 18" x 17" seat, larger tires and speeds of up to approximately 8.4 km/h, the Victory 10.2 is a strong everyday scooter for both indoor and outdoor use.
In our opinion, the biggest advantage of the 3-wheel version is how much easier it is to maneuver in tighter environments compared with the 4-wheel model.
 
Our Thoughts on the Victory 10.2
 
What we like about the Victory 10.2 is that it is straightforward.
It gives you a larger and more substantial platform without becoming an enormous outdoor scooter.
The 400 lb capacity and larger seat make it comfortable for a wider range of users, while the 3-wheel configuration gives it a much tighter turning radius than the 4-wheel model.
For someone who finds a travel scooter a little too small but still needs good indoor maneuverability, we think the 3-wheel Victory 10.2 makes a lot of sense.
 
Who We Think It Is Best For
 
We think the Victory 10.2 3-Wheel works particularly well for shopping, appointments, retirement communities, neighbourhood use and paved outdoor surfaces.
Its approximately 42-inch turning radius is one of the biggest advantages of choosing the 3-wheel configuration.
That makes it noticeably easier to turn in stores, elevators, apartment buildings and other tighter environments than the 4-wheel Victory 10.2.
The 400 lb weight capacity also provides more flexibility than most travel scooters.
As always, we would still look at seat width, legroom, transfers and overall fit rather than choosing a scooter based on weight capacity alone.
 
What We Like Most
 
The maneuverability is probably our favourite part of the 3-wheel Victory 10.2.
You still get a substantial mid-size scooter with a comfortable 18" x 17" seat, but the single front wheel allows the scooter to turn in significantly less space.
The delta tiller with wraparound handles also gives the user multiple hand positions and can be easier to operate for someone with reduced hand strength.
We also like the integrated tiller storage and cup holder, USB charging port and LED lighting package. These are small features, but they make the scooter more convenient for everyday use.
 
Range & Everyday Use
 
With the 40Ah battery configuration, Pride Canada rates the 3-wheel Victory 10.2 for up to approximately 21 km of driving range per charge.
The scooter can reach speeds of up to approximately 8.4 km/h.
That gives it plenty of capability for most shopping trips, appointments and neighbourhood outings.
Actual range will vary depending on user weight, hills, terrain, battery condition, temperature and driving habits.
 
Portability & Transportation
 
The Victory 10.2 uses Pride’s feather-touch frame separation system, allowing the scooter to separate into sections for transportation.
However, we would not put it in the same portability category as a Go-Go travel scooter.
This is still a larger mid-size scooter, and the separated sections are heavier than what you would find on most true travel scooters.
If you only transport it occasionally and have help lifting it, that may be perfectly manageable.
If you plan to independently load your scooter into a vehicle several times a week, we would probably compare it with lighter options before deciding.
 
3-Wheel or 4-Wheel?
 
For us, this is the main decision with the Victory 10.2.
The 3-wheel version has an approximately 42-inch turning radius, compared with approximately 52.25 inches on the 4-wheel model.
If tighter indoor maneuverability is important, we would lean toward the 3-wheel version.
If you simply prefer the wider front footprint and feel of a four-wheel scooter, the 4-wheel model may be the better choice.
We recommend trying both if possible, because most users can feel the difference immediately.
 
Things We Would Consider Before Buying
 
The Victory 10.2 does not have suspension.
Its larger tires and more substantial frame give it a solid everyday ride, but if comfort over rough pavement is one of your biggest priorities, we would compare it with a scooter equipped with suspension.
It is best suited to indoor flooring, shopping centres, paved sidewalks and reasonably smooth outdoor surfaces.
We would also make sure the user feels comfortable with the handling characteristics of a 3-wheel scooter.
For someone who strongly prefers the feel of four wheels, the tighter turning radius may not outweigh that preference.
 
Is the Pride Victory 10.2 Worth It?
 
We think the Victory 10.2 3-Wheel is a very good choice for someone who wants a traditional mid-size scooter with excellent maneuverability.
Its 400 lb capacity, comfortable seating, tighter turning radius and useful driving range make it a versatile everyday option.
If portability is your number-one priority, we would look at something lighter.
If you need serious suspension and rough-terrain capability, we would move into a larger outdoor model.
But if you want a comfortable, substantial scooter that remains relatively easy to maneuver indoors, the 3-wheel Victory 10.2 is one we would absolutely recommend comparing.
