The Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 is one of our favourite compact mobility scooters for clients who want something easy to transport but still prefer the stability of a 4-wheel scooter.
What makes this model different from most travel scooters is its maneuverability. Pride's EZ Turn Technology gives the Elite Traveller 2 an impressive 37-inch turning radius, allowing it to turn much tighter than you would normally expect from a 4-wheel scooter.
In our opinion, that is the biggest reason to consider the Elite Traveller 2. You get the familiar stability of four wheels without giving up as much maneuverability when navigating stores, apartments, elevators, hallways and other tighter spaces.
 
Our Thoughts on the Go-Go Elite Traveller 2
 
We really like this scooter for someone whose priority is portability and everyday convenience.
The Elite Traveller 2 disassembles into several pieces for transportation, with the heaviest section weighing approximately 35 lb. That makes it much easier to load into many cars and SUVs than a full-size mobility scooter.
That said, we always tell clients that "portable" does not necessarily mean "effortless to lift." Thirty-five pounds is manageable for many people, but not everyone. If you plan to regularly take the scooter apart and load it into your vehicle, we recommend actually trying the disassembly and lifting process before purchasing.
This is one of the reasons we encourage clients to visit our London showroom and test scooters in person rather than choosing entirely from specifications online.
 
We think the Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 is best suited for:
 
Shopping and grocery stores
Medical appointments
Malls and shopping centres
Retirement residences and apartment buildings
Indoor environments where turning space is limited
Smooth sidewalks and paved outdoor surfaces
Travelling by car when the scooter needs to be disassembled
The scooter supports up to 300 lb, reaches speeds of up to approximately 4.23 mph, and is only about 19.45 inches wide, giving it a very compact footprint.
 
What We Like Most
 
The standout feature for us is the combination of 4-wheel stability and tight maneuverability.
Traditionally, choosing a 4-wheel scooter meant accepting a larger turning radius. The Elite Traveller 2 does a very good job of reducing that compromise.
We also like that it remains relatively simple. This isn't a scooter loaded with unnecessary electronics or complicated features. It is designed around portability, straightforward operation and getting someone from point A to point B comfortably.
For many clients looking for their first mobility scooter, that simplicity can actually be a major advantage.
 
What We'd Consider Before Buying
 
The Elite Traveller 2 is still a compact travel scooter, and we think it is important to understand what that means.
Its smaller solid tires and relatively low ground clearance make it much better suited to smooth surfaces than rough outdoor terrain. If you expect to spend a lot of time driving over grass, gravel, uneven sidewalks or longer outdoor distances, we would normally recommend comparing it with a larger scooter before making your decision.
We also wouldn't choose this model solely because it is the smallest or easiest scooter to transport. The right scooter should fit the user just as well as it fits the vehicle.
Things like your height, weight, sitting comfort, balance, transfer ability, hand function, driving environment and who will be loading the scooter all matter.

Battery & Driving Range
 
The Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 is available with different battery configurations.
With the standard 12 Ah battery configuration, Pride lists a maximum range of up to approximately 8.8 miles under its 220 lb testing condition, or approximately 6.6 miles at the scooter's 300 lb maximum weight capacity.
With the larger 18 Ah battery configuration, Pride lists up to approximately 13.8 miles at 220 lb and approximately 10.4 miles at maximum weight capacity.
Actual range will vary depending on user weight, terrain, battery condition, temperature, driving style and other conditions.
 
Is the Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 Worth It?
 
For the right person, we think it is an excellent travel scooter.
We particularly like it for someone who wants a scooter they can take apart and transport but doesn't want to move to a 3-wheel design simply to get better maneuverability.
Its biggest strength isn't any single specification. It's the overall combination of portability, compact size, 4-wheel stability and an unusually tight turning radius.
If most of your scooter use will be shopping, appointments, indoor environments and relatively smooth outdoor surfaces, the Elite Traveller 2 is a model we would absolutely recommend considering.
If you're looking for something primarily for longer outdoor trips or rougher terrain, we'd probably point you toward one of Pride's larger scooters instead.
