Pride VivaLift Perfecta 2 Lift Chair
The Pride VivaLift Perfecta 2 Lift Chair is a great option for someone who wants the comfort and adjustability of a VivaLift recliner in a clean, traditional design.
What we like most about the Perfecta 2 is that it focuses on the features people are most likely to use every day. You get advanced reclining, power headrest and lumbar adjustment, memory positioning, and reliable lift assistance without making the chair feel overly complicated.
Infinite Position Reclining
The Perfecta 2 uses an Infinite Position reclining system, giving the user much more flexibility than a standard 3-position lift chair.
You can adjust the chair into a deeper reclined position for relaxing, resting, reading, or watching television, while still having much more control over your final sitting position.
For someone who spends a lot of time in their recliner, we think this additional adjustability is one of the biggest reasons to step up from a basic lift chair.
Power Headrest
The powered headrest allows you to adjust the position of your head and neck independently.
This is especially useful when the chair is reclined. Instead of having your head fall too far backward, you can bring the headrest forward so you can continue watching television, reading, or talking comfortably.
It sounds like a small feature, but once someone gets used to having a power headrest, it can be difficult to go back to a conventional fixed backrest.
Power Lumbar Support
The Pride VivaLift Perfecta 2 Lift Chair also includes powered lumbar adjustment.
This allows you to increase or decrease the amount of support behind your lower back directly from the hand control.
We like this feature because lower-back comfort varies significantly from person to person. Rather than adding pillows behind your back, the chair itself can be adjusted around your preferred sitting position.
Memory Remote
The Perfecta 2 includes a memory hand control that allows you to save a preferred position.
Once you find a position you particularly like, you can return to it without having to manually recreate the same backrest, footrest, headrest, and lumbar settings every time.
For someone using the chair several times throughout the day, this can make the chair much easier and more convenient to use.
Comfortable Medium-Sized Seating
The Perfecta 2 is offered in a Medium size and is designed to provide a comfortable fit for many average-sized users.
However, we never recommend choosing a lift chair based on a manufacturer height range alone.
Seat width, seat depth, seat-to-floor height, lower-leg length, posture, hip width, and transfer ability can all affect how well a chair actually fits.
A chair with an impressive feature list can still be uncomfortable if the person does not fit it properly.
Fully Padded Chaise
The Perfecta 2 uses a fully padded chaise design, providing continuous support underneath the legs from the seat through to the footrest.
We prefer this style for customers who spend longer periods reclining because it avoids the unsupported gap sometimes found between the seat and footrest on traditional recliners.
The result is a more continuous and comfortable seating surface.
Power Lift Assistance
At the press of a button, the Perfecta 2 gradually raises and tilts forward to assist the user when moving from sitting to standing.
The powered system also helps lower the user back into the chair in a controlled manner.
For someone who finds it difficult to stand from a conventional sofa or recliner, this can reduce the amount of effort required during a sit-to-stand transfer.
Proper fit still matters, though. Seat height and depth can have just as much impact on transfers as the lift mechanism itself.
Traditional Furniture Appearance
One of the things we like about the Perfecta 2 is that it still looks like a traditional living-room recliner.
It uses a Bergere-style back and is available in Merino Fawn and Merino Steel upholstery.
For customers who want the function of mobility equipment without making their living room feel clinical, the Perfecta 2 strikes a nice balance.
Who Is the Perfecta 2 Best For?
We think the Perfecta 2 is best suited to someone who wants more positioning and comfort adjustment than a basic lift chair but does not necessarily need heat, massage, tilt, or some of the additional features found on Pride’s higher-end VivaLift models.
It gives you the features that can make a real difference in everyday use: deeper reclining, power headrest, power lumbar support, memory positioning, and lift assistance.
For many customers, that is an excellent middle ground between a simple lift recliner and one of Pride’s most premium chairs.
